Elton John – Can You Feel the Love Tonight – Lion King was my favorite animated film growing up and I loved the melody writing of Elton John with this song.

Lionel Ritchie – “Endless Love” is my favorite Lionel Ritchie song reaching #1 on Billlboard in 1981! Hailed as the greatest duet of all time. Beautiful melody writing..

O-Town -  “All or Nothing” was their smash hit that discusses unrequited love with a friend and wanting to risk it all to be with them romantically or nothing at all.  Just gorgeous melody writing.

Boys II Men & Mariah Carey – “One Sweet Day” is the most successful #1 hit on Billboard ever – sung by Mariah Carey and Boys II Men! Being at the #1 spot 16 weeks in a row in 1995 setting a record til this day that has been unmatched. Such a beautiful song about remembering someone you took for granted who is no longer with you.

Celine Dion – Beauty and the Beast – Built on verse only song structure Menkin modulates it into another key in the third verse to provide subtle variation. Absolute genius. The melody is so BEAUTIFUL. Giving Menkin a few more Grammys and Oscars for his work on Beauty and the Beast.
